About Us ?

Athena Academy is named after the Greek goddess Athena. Athena is reckoned to be the goddess of wisdom, arts, crafts, skill, mathematics, inspiration, civilization, courage, strength, law and justice in Greek mythology. The selection of the name of a Greek deity for our school is based on the fact that over 60% of all English words have Greek or Latin roots and the figure rises to over 90% in respect of the vocabulary of science and technology. The school is located at Srimantapur, Barpeta Town, amidst lush green surroundings, a few yards away from S.P. Office and I.T.I., Barpeta. There is a beautiful playground in front of the school to provide for the outdoor play and activities of the students. To add beauty to the natural setting of the school, the river 'Moranodi' (Dead River) is flowing in front of it. The school was established in 2016 and is being run by 'Athena Minerva Socio-Educational Trust'.
